RT has acquired the Construction of Slope Protection (Package 3) in Track Doubling Project, Den Chai – Chiang Rai – Chiang Khong (Contract 2)

RT has acquired the Construction of Slope Protection (Package 3) in Track Doubling Project, Den Chai - Chiang Rai - Chiang Khong (Contract 2) in Phayao from the State Railway of Thailand. The total value is 100.26 million baht, with a project duration of 24 months. The company focuses on high-quality construction, accelerates project delivery and boost backlog growth to ensure continuous revenue recognition.

Mr. Chawalit Tanomtin, Chief Executive Officer of Right Tunnelling Public Company Limited (RT), a specialist in civil engineering, tunneling, and comprehensive geotechnics, mentioned that the Company has undertaken the Earth Work – Slope Protection (Package 3) of Track Doubling Project, Den Chai - Chiang Rai - Chiang Khong (Contract 2) in Phayao, covering 5.02 kilometers. The project value is 100,260,150.25 baht (including VAT), with the State Railway of Thailand as the project owner and the CKS-DC 2 joint venture as the main contractor. The Company has received the letter of intent from the contractor to begin the construction on May 9, 2024, with a contract period of 730 days from May 15, 2024, to May 15, 2026. Some of construction work have already worked on at the project site. Track Doubling Project, Den Chai - Chiang Rai - Chiang Khong was initiated to enhance railway transport services, support passenger and freight transport, and accommodate the increasing number of passengers as well as freight volume. This aligns with the government's transportation and logistics development policies and its initials, which promote the use of rail transport to reduce road accidents, pollution, transportation costs, and long-term energy consumption.
